Holidays are full of sugar, sure, but they are really full of additives, preservatives and inflammatory oils that make you feel so terrible. Now, let’s talk about some swaps. You want to look for organic pork at the grocery store. If you can, search for both organic and pasture-raised. This is a double YES but typically only found from a small farmer. One of my favorite organic pork places is Grass Roots Farmers Co-Op. However, organic pork at the grocery will be just fine. Getting organic ensures the pig is eating only organic food *yay* but also means it is higher in nutrition. Pasture-Raised means that it has access to outdoors and has a wider variety of natural foods giving them even more omega-3’s (anti-inflammatory) and nutrition.

Sparkling wine is considered clean when no added sugar or sulfites are added. The FDA, here in America, has approved 78 additives that can be used in wines. Ever wonder why a wine label does not list the ingredients? It is NOT just wine. It is a laundry list of additives which makes you get a headache, skin flush and you kind of feel that warmth in the front of your forehead when drinking.
