Quick Clean Tacos, Mexican Pizza + The Best Detox Tool
Why make dinner complicated when it can be simple. Cook the meat and put all the toppings on the counter - everyone gets what they want!
So many recipes are fancy. A lot of recipes are fun to cook but not worthy of repeating. As a busy mom of two boys with a full-time job, this is a recipe I turn to weekly. I wrote out amounts of ingredients but really it is tacos. Put as much meat and toppings as you want. Another cool thing is if you eat clean but your family does not — tacos are a way to make one meal and everybody eats it “their way”.
Get your clean tortillas and maybe still get the kids or spouse their “wheat flour” tortillas but maybe get organic and no additives. That will help them out some! Reasons you do not want wheat flour tortillas: empty calories, pesticides and usually accompanied by additives, bad oils and preservatives.
Meat options: clean meat brands were in last week’s label letter. Paid subscribers — you have an entire “discount links” section with the clean brands and their discount links. You must be on a web browser (not phone) to see that section!
Cleanest tortillas are in the swaps below along with chips, dips and best swaps for sour cream. These yogurts, below, deliver that bite that sour cream gives without the inflammation. You will not even miss it! There are a lot of clean salsas at the grocery. Usually ones refrigerated are cleaner. Read the labels - no sugar or additives. Should be simple!
PS: The first 3 people to make the recipe, take a pic and post on social media tagging Wake UP and Read The Labels will get a free copy of my product recommendation sheet.

Warm 4 tortillas in oven or on burner (set to low) for about one minute. Watch closely to soften but not burn.
Transfer tortilla on plate, scoop some meat and then add toppings.
Other ways to enjoy: use lettuce or clean chips instead of tortillas. Cheese - you will not miss cheese but if necessary - buy "raw grass-fed" cheese. There is no clean dairy-free cheese that goes well with tacos...i promise you will not miss cheese. GIVE IT A Try!!
MEXICAN Pizza
Serves 1
Ingredients:
2 Clean Soft Tortillas ( see swaps below)
1 lb ground meat, turkey, chicken or bison
1 Packet Siete Taco Seasoning
1 tbsp diced tomatoes
1 tbsp enchilada sauce or salsa (see swaps below)
1 tbsp black olives
1 tbsp cilantro, chopped
sprinkle of cheese, if wanted
clean sour cream (see swaps below)
Directions:
Set oven to 400.
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, cook 1 lb ground meat, turkey, chicken or bison until browned about 7-9 minutes. Throw in 1 packet of Siete Taco Seasoning and finish cooking according to directions on back of seasoning. Can also use your own clean taco seasoning in place. When complete, remove from heat.
Get a sheet pan and cover with unbleached parchment paper or a silicone mat then lay 2 soft tortillas next to one another. Give a quick spray of ghee or avocado oil on top of the tortillas. Bake in the oven for 2 minutes then take out.
Add a scoop (approx 1/4 cup) of cooked ground meat on top one warm tortilla then layer the other tortilla on top. Add second layer of cooked meat (approx 1/4 cup) on top again.
Next, add 1 tbsp diced tomatoes (and 1 tbsp enchilada sauce (or clean salsa) and sprinkle of clean cheese, if wanted. Finish with 1 tbsp black olives and 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped. It will be a mound but the objective is for all the flavors to blend. This part can be kinda sloppy!
Put into oven until cheese has melted or 1-2 minutes. Add clean sour cream on top, slice and enjoy.

Some followers are so interested in the brand of my infrared sauna, this is it. I LOVE IT. I notice a difference in my mood, energy and skin. Sweating a lot is often hard to do but so good for you. It detox’s you. The world we live in is full of toxins (food containers, air, water) and so it is a must to detox. You can set a schedule to have it turn on at a certain time (mine is before waking kids up in the morning). I feel so accomplished sweating and getting endorphins before the day even begins. Using this link… get up to $600 off your purchase anytime or you can get up to $800 off between Oct 7 -15th if you are on the fence. I am cheering for you! I wish I had gotten this sooner…
