The Smiley Margarita You’ll Make All Summer 🍹✨
It’s clean, it’s simple, and it’s here just in time for Cinco de Mayo. Bonus: no refined sugar or weird mixers.
🎉 Cinco de Mayo just got a whole lot cleaner.
Hi friends —
I’m sharing one of my most-requested cocktail recipes today, and I’m making it completely free for everyone.
This is the Smiley Margarita — a refreshing, three-ingredient cocktail you’ll come back to all summer long. No weird mixers. No refined sugar. Just real ingredients you can feel good about.
🍹 Here’s what you’ll need:
100% agave tequila (I love a clean Blanco for its crisp flavor)
Homemade simple syrup – made with just raw honey + water
Fresh lime juice – yes, from real limes (bonus points if they’re from your backyard tree)
💡 Pro Tip: A citrus press like the SMEG juicer makes life way easier if you’re squeezing a bunch.
🧪 The Smiley Formula:
2 parts (100% agave) tequila
1 part honey simple syrup
1 part fresh lime juice
Shake it up with ice, pour, garnish with lime, and enjoy. 🍸✨
Want to spice it up? Add a splash of El Guapo Bitters — a female-owned, New Orleans-based brand I love — to give it a bold, spicy twist.

1/4 cup honey mixed in 1/4 cup warm water… add up to another 1/4 cup warm water if you want it thinner and less sweet.
How much raw honey and water to mix together?
